Paramount Pictures has released two new posters for Transformers One for IMAX and Dolby theatrical projection formats.
This is a movie I really want to be excited about, but I’m not sold on the footage that’s been released. The tone, the story, the animation style… it looks like it’s going to be a great experience for kids who are vaguely familiar with the franchise, but for longtime fans like myself… it seems underwhelming. We’ll find out soon enough whether or not this movie lives up to its promises.
There are critics who have already seen this movie and liked it! I hope the movie ends up being really good as they say!
Transformers One tells the “origin story of how the most iconic characters in the Transformers universe, Orion Pax and D-16, went from brothers in arms to sworn enemies, Optimus Prime and Megatron.”
Director Josh Cooley previously teased that the film will feature real dangers and real stakes. He said the film “has the epic scope, adventure and action that we know from the Transformers movies.”
He added: “There’s a lot of danger. There’s real danger in this movie. Yes. And there’s always that, as we said before, that ticking time bomb of when this relationship between Orion and D-16 will collapse.”
The stars of the film Chris Hemsworth like Orion Pax / Optimus Prime, My Friend Brian Tyree Henry like D-16 / Megatron, Scarlett Johansson like Elita-1, and Keegan Michael’s Key like B-127 / Bumblebee.
Transformers One will hit theaters on September 20th.
