Some new concept art has been shared for Deadpool and Wolverine and include more alternate character designs for Wesley SnipeBlade of .
Some of these designs are really cool and even better than what we saw in the movie. The concept art below was created by artist Wesley Burt, who included the following note with the art:
“Some early ideas I’ve come up with for the Blade we encounter in the void for Deadpool and Wolverine, more in the next artbook!
“I’ve done a few others, and with all my films I was mostly trying to capture the feel of the original Blade films, but also thinking about where he might be now as a slightly older guy and in a different time/context, so it was also really fun to work on an homage to the look of the classic comics here as well.
“Blade is my favorite comic book movie and one of my favorite characters, so it was a dream to be able to do some concepts for him, especially knowing that the great @realwesleysnipes was returning to his iconic role 🖤”
It was great to see Snipes back as Blade in the film and Ryan Reynolds campaigned for him to get his fourth film… described as a “Logan-as a greeting.” It would be nice to see that happen, but with Marvel Studios still trying to get their Mahershala Ali Lama movie takes off, it probably won’t happen.
