Teaser Trailer for Netflix’s WWII Drama THE SIX TRIPLE EIGHT Starring Kerry Washington; Based on a True Story

Netflix has released a stunning teaser trailer for its upcoming World War II drama, The Six Triple EightThe stars of the film Patricia Washington like Major Charity Adams, commander of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion.

She is joined by her co-stars Ebony Obsidian, Milan Jackson, Patricia Giorgi, Mrs. Shantay, Sarah Jeffery, Peppers Sonuga, Moriah Brown, Jeante Godlockwith Susan Sarandon, Principal Norris, Sam WaterstonAND Oprah Winfrey.

The film is directed and written by Tyler’s Perrybased on the article “Fighting a War on Two Fronts” by Kevin M. HymelPublished in WWII History Magazine by Sovereign Media.

The film’s synopsis reads:

“The Six Triple Eight is inspired by the first and only black unit of the Women’s Army Corps to serve overseas during World War II. Despite facing racism, sexism, and grueling working conditions, they were committed to serving their country with honor and distinction.

Given an extraordinary mission, united in determination, these unsung heroes brought hope and broke barriers.”

This looks like an excellent film that gives us a whole new perspective on World War II. I love good true stories that I’ve never heard before, and this one looks like it’s going to be interesting.
