actress is set to star in and executive produce a new drama-thriller series on Hulu titled The placeThe project was born from And Solomon (Bill and Ted, Full Circle, Men in Black), A24 and 20th Television.
Solomon is the creator of the series and will serve as its writer and showrunner. The place follows “a successful surgeon (Winslet) and her husband, a schoolteacher, who suspect she may be responsible for the death of a child hit by a hit-and-run driver.
“As they investigate the matter, dark secrets are revealed that will test their relationship as they grapple with the possibility of hidden guilt and betrayal.”
It looks like an intense and heartbreaking story, which means it will make good TV.
Solomon has previously worked on Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey AND Bill and Ted Face the Musicwith Chris Matheson.
He also wrote Men in Black and worked on the Now you see me film and collaborated with the director Actor and HBO for the critically acclaimed narrative television series, Mosaic.
