The Next Peacock Limited Series Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy has added five new series regulars to its roster, including Gabriel Moon (The Last of Us, Terminator: Dark Fate),James Dale Badge (Wise, 1923), Michael Angarano (Oppenheimer, this is us), Chris Sullivan (this is us, Mercy), AND Marine Ireland (Hell or high water). They join together Michael Chernuswho Gacy is supposed to play.
The show’s official synopsis states that it “peels back the twisted layers of Gacy’s life, weaving together harrowing stories of his mostly gay victims; exploring the pain, guilt and trauma of their families and friends; and uncovering the systemic failures, missed opportunities and social biases that fueled his reign of terror.”
Luna will play Detective Rafael Tovar, while Dale will play Chief of Detectives Joe Kozenczak. Angarano will play Sam Amirante, with Sullivan playing Chief Prosecutor Bill Kunkle. Ireland will play Elizabeth Piest.
The show is inspired by the 2021 Peacock docuseries John Wayne Gacy: The Devil in Disguiseproduced by NBC News Studios. Gacy infamously murdered 33 young men between 1972 and 1978 before his capture.
