Blood-Filled Teaser Trailer for Zack Snyder’s TWILIGHT OF THE GODS Animated Series

Netflix has released a new red teaser trailer for Zack Snyderanimated fantasy series Twilight of the Godsand this thing is overflowing with violence and blood.

This is a really good trailer, and there’s a chance it could be the best thing Snyder has done in a long time. It all comes down to story and writing, which Snyder needs help with.

This is a series about Norse mythology that will tell a story of revenge. The series is described as “a bold, spectacular and new animated vision of Norse mythology.”

The synopsis reads: “In a mythical world of great battles, great deeds, and great despair, LEIF, a mortal king, is saved on the battlefield by SIGRID, an iron-willed warrior with whom he falls in love.

“On their wedding night, SIGRID and LEIF survive THOR’s wrath of terror, which drives them – and a band of crusaders – to embark on a ruthless, against-all-odds mission of vengeance.

“This heroic tale of love, loss, and revenge is a journey into Hell and beyond… through fantastic lands, fierce and bloody battlefields, and wars fought against gods and demons.”

Speaking about the series’ story, Snyder said: “It’s basically this: There’s a king and his queen in a small Viking village, and they want to get married. An event happens to them during their wedding that sends Sigrid, who is the bride-to-be, who is the daughter of giants, on a crazy quest for revenge.

“He recruits a cast of characters, a seer, a dwarf, and they come together to form a band that has this mission: to find a god and fight him. It’s a mission, it’s a story of revenge.

“Sigrid is a beautiful character, very Scandinavian, cold but passionate, who I really enjoyed working with because she is just fantastic. Sylvia Hoeks gives her voice.”

Snyder also said the show will have “a lot of sex” […] because it’s fun” and that the first season will consist of eight episodes.
