Last week, Marvel Studios released the first footage of Daredevil: Reborn during D23, and presents Charles CoxDaredevil and Vincent D’OnofrioThe Kingpins clash once again.
We also have a first look at by Jon Bernthal Frank Castle, aka The Punisher, is back in action. Fans also appear to have spied White Tiger in footage that was eventually deleted from the Internet.
Not only was the footage released, but Cox himself hyped the show and teased fans with the promise of some “cute little cameos” in the series. Screen Rant was there and reported that Cox said:
“We don’t follow any of the comics in terms of story. We don’t follow any of them closely, and there are a few reasons for that.
First, because if you follow a plot carefully, the conclusion becomes obvious because everyone knows how it ends.
Those of you who saw the leaked D23 trailer may have noticed a couple of interesting characters that pop up: I didn’t say that, you said that. The trailer has been taken down, so I won’t say anything.”
It was then that the actor said he was excited to see his character alongside White Tiger and other unnamed heroes who ended up appearing in the series.
“I remember getting those scripts, and the character I’m thinking about in particular right now, I remember when I read that [story] before starting work on Daredevil in 2014.
I always thought it was such a cool storyline and such an interesting character; such an interesting dynamic between the two of them. It was really fun and I’m really excited about it. And there are a couple of other cute little cameos that pop up.”
The new series is said to be inspired by Kingdom of the devil plot, which explores the power dynamics between the Kingpin and the vigilantes who oppose him. The story revolves around the power struggle between Daredevil and Wilson Fisk, who becomes mayor of New York City.
Daredevil: Reborn It is developed by the directors Justin Benson AND Aaron Mooreheadwho worked on both Knight of the Moon AND Loki.
Daredevil: Reborn will be coming to Disney Plus in March 2025.
