Sony Pictures Classics has released a teaser trailer from the Spanish director Pedro Almodovarthe first feature film in English, The room next doorwith Oscar-winning actors Juliana Moore AND Tilda Swinton.
The film will premiere in competition at the Venice Film Festival on September 2. According to the synopsis, The room next door follows Ingrid (Moore) and Martha (Swinton), who were great friends as young women, when they worked at the same magazine.
“Ingrid has become a writer of autobiographical novels while Martha has become a war reporter, and they have been separated by life circumstances,” the description continues. “After years of absence, they meet again in an extreme but strangely sweet situation.”
After its premiere in Venice, The room next door will be released in theaters on December 20th by Sony Pictures Classics. Watch the film’s teaser trailer below.
