Netflix has released a teaser trailer for 1960-1969, Ryan Murphy, 1969-1970, 1969 AND Ian Brennanthe next show of monsters anthology series, Monsters: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez.
The series will tell the true crime story of the 1996 conviction of the Menendez brothers for the murder of their parents. The project stars Nicholas Alexander Chavez AND Cooper Koch as Lyle and Erik Menendez, while José and Mary Louise “Kitty” Menendez will be played by Javier Bardem AND Chloe Sevigny.
In the case, despite the prosecution’s argument that Lyle and Erik Menendez killed their parents to inherit the family estate, the brothers claimed they acted out of fear after years of physical, emotional and sexual abuse. They maintain their claims today as they serve life in prison without the possibility of parole.
The cast also includes Nathan’s Lane like Dominick Dunne, Ari Graynor like Leslie Abramson, Leslie Grossman like Judalon Smyth, Dallas Roberts like Dr. Jerome Oziel, Paul Adelstein like David Conn, and Dr. Jason Butler Harner as Detective Les Zoeller.
They join them Henry Murciano like Carlos Baralt, Michael Gladis like Tim Rutten, Designed by Powell like detective Tom Linehan, Charlie Room like Craig Cignarelli, Gil Ozeri like Dr. William Vicary, Jeff Perry like Peter Hoffman, Tessa Auberjonois like Dr. Laurel Oziel, Tanner Stine like Perry Berman, Larry Clarke like Brian Andersen, Jade Pettyjohn like Jamie Pisarcik and Marlene Strong like Marta Cano.
Series directors include Brennan, Franklin, Max Winkler, Paris Barclay AND Michael Uppendahlwhile the writers include Murphy, Brennan, David McMillan, Todd Kubrak AND Reilly Smith.
Monsters: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez will debut on Netflix on September 19.
