Isabela Merced on the failure of MADAME WEB: “It leaves a sad taste in my mouth”

Mrs. Web It was another disaster of a movie from Sony Studios, who we all know should leave the superhero movie business to Marvel. The studio continues to make bad movies, which come and go, but unfortunately, there is an entire cast and crew behind the mess that does not deserve to be associated with the bombed final product.

Actress Isabella Merced He spoke about his bittersweet experience in making Mrs. Web in a recent appearance on the podcast Happy Sad Confused with Josh Horowitz, where he explained:

“I would say…I feel like every actor that I know and admire has that one movie where he’s so camp. He’s so camp. [Laughs]. The group chat was fun after that. All the tweets that were going out and the memes we were seeing made the group chat very entertaining.

“But at the same time, it does [leave] a sad taste in my mouth because there were people who worked there and worked really hard. Maybe this was their opportunity to have a big breakthrough and I can’t help but think about the people who worked there. I’m lucky enough to have other opportunities right now.

“That’s why I feel really lucky, but I also feel sorry for the other people who put their all into this. [were] so many cooks in the kitchen. Even though you might have good intentions, someone else might not understand the task.”

He concluded by speaking positively about the experience, saying, “I have a soft spot in my heart. [for it]. Honestly, I love The Room. I love Flubber. I love Catwoman. They’re my favorites. I’m kind of proud of them in that sense. I’m really glad we had each other.”

At least she made some friends and learned a little more than before. Merced continued to land roles in Alien: Romulus, The Last of Us season 2, and the long-awaited Supermanso this will have minimal impact on what appears to be a very promising career.
