Kit Harington got his big break as the character of Jon Snow in the hit HBO series game of ThronesThat opportunity opened many doors for the actor, who has been consistently landing roles ever since.
One of those coveted opportunities was to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which for most actors is a gateway to more work and greater visibility in Hollywood.
But unfortunately, the film Harington was cast in turned out to be one of the least beloved by fans, and it seems he himself doesn’t have much to say about it.
In the 2021 movie EternalsHarington played the character of Dane Whitman in a brief appearance that was preparing him to become Black Knight, a niche but beloved Marvel character connected to the seemingly doomed Lama film. Harington told GQ about the experience: “I’m not going to pretend that I took that [role] because it was different and interesting. If Marvel calls, you have to do it,” he joked, although he liked his character and would be interested in returning if they changed their minds.
I think it would have been cool to see Harington fully transform into the Black Knight, but it feels like Marvel’s trajectory has taken a couple of turns since that movie was made.
