Roadside is really pushing this movie and they’re actually putting a lot of effort into marketing it. They’re hoping people will go see the movie, which seems like a well-made movie that tells an interesting and emotional story about a person that not many people know about.
Miller was a model who became an acclaimed war correspondent for Vogue magazine during World War II. The film is described as a “fascinating portrait of the great American war correspondent Lee Miller, whose singular talent and fierce tenacity gave us some of the most indelible images of the 20th century…
“The story begins in the South of France, in 1938, where Lee Miller is on holiday with her dearest and closest friends, artists, poets and confidants.”
The film “portrays a pivotal decade in the life of American war correspondent and photographer Lee Miller. Miller’s singular talent and unbridled tenacity resulted in some of the 20th century’s most indelible war images, including an iconic photo of Miller herself, posing provocatively in Hitler’s private bathtub.
“Lee Miller had a deep understanding and empathy for women and the voiceless victims of war. Her images show both the fragility and the ferocity of the human experience.
“Above all, the film shows how Miller lived her life to the fullest in search of the truth, for which she paid an enormous personal price, forcing her to confront a traumatic and deeply buried secret from her childhood.”
