FX has released a trailer for the second season of Jeff’s Bridges’fugitive action drama The Old Man. I just finished watching the first season and I loved it, and the next season looks awesome! This is a great and exciting trailer!
The show is based on the novel by Thomas Perryand the story centers on “Dan Chase, who fled the CIA decades ago and has been living under the radar ever since. When an assassin comes along and tries to eliminate Chase, the old agent discovers that to secure his future, he must reconcile with his past.
“After Dan Chase is discovered, FBI Deputy Director of Counterintelligence Harold Harper is called in to hunt him down due to his complicated history with the rogue fugitive. When Chase proves harder to catch than the authorities expected, a highly trained special operations agent is sent in to track him down.
“While on the run, Chase rents a room from Zoe McDonald, who draws on reserves she didn’t know she had to survive the day she learns the truth about her new tenant.”
In the second season, “Former CIA agent Dan Chase and former FBI Deputy Director Harold Harper (John Lithgow) set out to retrieve Emily Chase (Alia Shawkat) after being kidnapped.
“As the stakes rise and secrets are uncovered, Emily finds herself in an identity crisis with dire implications, and Zoe McDonald (Amy Brenneman) makes some surprising moves in Chase’s world.”
The Old Man contains episodes directed by The Wilkinson Jet, Steve Boyum, Uta Briesewitz, Jason EnslerAND Ben SemanoffDeveloped by Robert Levine and Jonathan E. Steinberg, with text by Hennah Sekande and Daphne Olive.
The Old Man Season 2 will be available to stream on Hulu starting September 12, 2024.
