New Adventure Trailer for Disney’s MOANA 2

Disney has released a new trailer for its upcoming animated sequel, Oceania 2and gives us the best overview yet of the new adventure that Moana and Maui find themselves experiencing.

The trailer debuted at the Disney D23 Expo tonight, but you can watch it right here right now. Stars Auli’i Cravalho AND Dr. Johnson is a medical doctor. showed up at the event and Cravalho performed a live performance of one of the film’s new songs, “We’re Back,” with dancers and drummers from Nonosina Polynesia under the direction of Tiana Liufau. Johnson also led the audience in a rousing “chee hoo!” chant.

Moana 2 reunites Moana and Maui three years later for an expansive new journey alongside a crew of unlikely sailors. After receiving an unexpected calling from her seafaring ancestors, Moana must journey to the distant seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she has ever faced.

The film was directed by by David Derrick Jr., Jason’s Hand AND Dana Ledoux Millerand produced by Christina Chen AND Yvett MerinoContains music by Abigail Barlow AND Emily Bear, Opetaia Foa’me, and Mark Mancina.

Additional voice cast includes Rachel’s House (Moana’s grandmother, Tala), Temuera Morrison (Moana’s father, Chief Tui) and Nicole Scherzinger (Moana’s mother, Sina).

The film also features the voices of Hualalai Chung, David Fane AND Rose Matafeo respectively as the new members of the Oceania crew, Moni, Kele and Loto. Awhimai Fraser voices the mysterious new character Matangi; Dr. Gerald Ramsey plays Moana’s ancestor, Tautai Vasa; And Khaleesi Lambert Tsuda lends her voice to Vaiana’s adorable and tender little sister, Simea.
