Marvel has lifted the embargo on Deadpool and Wolverine spoiler, so the actors and directors are posting a lot of spoiler-filled details on social media. But, personally, I wouldn’t consider this a big deal.
During Deadpool and Wolverinelet’s see a funny little scene from Deadpool (My name is Ryan Reynolds.) held by Thor (Chris Hemsworth) crying over Wade Wilson’s battered and bruised body.
As they watch this on one of the TVA screens, Deadpool asks exactly why Thor is crying over him, and of course they brush it off by explaining that it’s “an event in the distant future.” So what exactly does this mean?
“But can’t Deadpool die?” my mother asked. That conversation took me on a deep dive and there are a few ways to kill Deadpool, like “throwing him into the sun” or “dropping a planet on him.”
Other ways to kill Deadpool: A mutation-dampening collar, crushing his brain (which led to a funny little discussion about what that means and whether melting it down would be the right way), time, he can still age, Weapon X which can eat away at him from the inside out, chopping his head off for more than 12 minutes.
Reynolds addressed the scene in X, saying, “I know why Thor was crying. I can’t not know,” and was accompanied by an image of the scene.
Hemsworth then he answered to the post, saying, “I can keep secrets too.” Watch this space.
This scene may be important, but it’s most likely just a fun little point to play with throughout the film.
I’m curious to see if they bring it up in future movies. Maybe one day we’ll see that scene with Thor and Deadpool. I’m still waiting for my Team Red movie to be announced.
What do you think about this scene? Is it important or is it just a funny scene inserted for laughs and jokes?
