Vertical has unveiled the trailer for a new film titled The King’s Tidea religious mystery thriller set on a struggling East Coast island community where a young girl with special powers is washed ashore.
In the film, “A struggling East Coast island community receives a mysterious lifeline when a newborn baby is washed ashore. The infant radiates a healing aura, healing anyone who spends a moment in his presence.
“But after a decade of prosperity, Isla’s adoptive parents must decide whether her safety takes precedence over the expectations of their community.”
The plot and tone of the film have a creepy and sinister feel to it and it promises to be a solid film that will offer some interesting twists as the story unfolds.
It is the story of an “isolated community that refuses to accept a much larger world beyond its shores, reflecting our specific cultural circumstances while serving as a timeless meditation on faith and fundamentalism.”
The King’s Tide is directed by Christian Sparks and the stars Francesca Fisherman, My Friend Clayne Crawford, Aden young, Michael Gray Eyes, Lara Jean ChorosteckiAND by Kathryn Greenwoodwith Alix West Lefler plays Isla, a 10-year-old girl.
The King’s Tide will be released in select theaters and on VOD on August 16, 2024.
