Altice Honors 52 Children of Staff for Academic Merit

Telecommunications provider Altice Dominicana has recognized 52 children of its employees for outstanding school performance during a ceremony in Santo Domingo.

The awards were presented as part of the company's annual Academic Excellence program, an initiative designed to honor students who achieve top grades and to reinforce the role of education in building a better future.

During the ceremony, Altice Dominicana chief executive officer Danilo Ginebra highlighted the essential role that families play in shaping student success. He said the company was celebrating not only the hard work of the children and young people, but also the parents and guardians who create daily conditions for them to learn, grow, and pursue their dreams.

Ginebra added that education has the power to transform lives, noting that Altice takes great pride in supporting employee families along their educational journey.

Academic Development Categories

The recognitions were divided into three distinct categories representing different stages of educational development. Primary school students were honored in the Our Little Dreamer category, secondary school students were recognized as Knowledge Explorers, and high school graduates entering university received awards in the Conqueror of Dreams category.

Students across all three categories received technology prizes aimed at supporting their ongoing studies. In addition, Altice awarded Academic Excellence Scholarships to the highest-performing student in each category to honor their dedication and commitment to academic achievement.

Scholarships and Career Paths

A highlight of the event was a testimony from Kamila Holguín Pineda, a recipient of the 2025 Academic Excellence Scholarship, who returned to the stage one year later to share her experience with the new honorees.

Holguín Pineda is currently studying marketing with a concentration in digital strategy at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, a private Catholic university in the Dominican Republic. She is also completing an internship at Altice, illustrating how the academic recognition can serve as a launching pad for personal and professional growth.

Through the Academic Excellence initiative, Altice aims to foster a corporate culture focused on merit and continuous learning while supporting the development and well-being of its workforce's families.
