STAR WARS: THE SKELETON CREW will feature plenty of Easter Eggs for fans

Star Wars: The Skeleton Crew star Judas Law and creator Jon Watts are revealing tons of surprises for fans to discover as they watch the series.

After talking about his character, Jod, who is “a guy who uses quick thinking, charm and conversational skills to get himself out of any situation,” Law teased Easter eggs that will pay homage to the original films.

He explained: “If you look carefully, [we] I have some Star Wars technology that dates back, I believe, to the original film. They do it [Easter eggs] so well.

“I think that’s one of the joys of this universe: for those who know that there are always little hidden details or Easter eggs that people can find and connect.”

Watts then chimes in, confirming that there are “a lot of Easter eggs” to be found. Producer Christopher Ford He also says that he and Watts had “the fun and the challenge of finding a deep cut [references].”

Watts said: “I can’t wait. I mean, even in the first episode, there are a couple of really, really great references that some fans will immediately recognize.”

However, you don’t need to know these references to appreciate the series, says Watts: “You don’t have to know everything about Star Wars to enjoy the show. You can go in completely fresh and enjoy the story. But if you happen to be a Star Wars “Super fan, there’s a lot for you.”

The series has been described as “a galactic take on the classic Amblin coming-of-age adventure films of the ’80s.” The story will follow four young boys on a small planet, who end up lost in the Star Wars galaxy and embark on a journey to find their way home.

The film was pitched to Lucasfilm as “The Goonies In Star Wars,” and it was explained that, although the series features four children, “it is not a show for children.”

The adventure they are on is said to be an intense and dark journey. In the story, four boys make “a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet and become lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Finding their way home, meeting unlikely allies and enemies will be an adventure greater than they ever imagined.”

The official synopsis for the series reads: “When four teenagers make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, they become lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Finding their way home, encountering unlikely allies and enemies, will be an adventure bigger than they ever imagined.”

The children in the series are played by Ravi Cabot Conyers, Kyriana Kratter, Robert Timothy SmithAND Ryan Kiera ArmstrongThe episodes of the show will be directed by Bryce Dallas Howard, The Daniels, Davide Abbassa, Jake SchreierAND by Lee Isaac Chung. The MandalorianS Mr. Jon Favreau AND Dave Filoni will be executive producer.

The series will debut on Disney+ by Christmas.
