The seventh chapter of the He shouted the franchise is in development and we have some new information to share with you, thanks to Neve Campbell.
The actress recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight and said that the attention of Scream VII will revolve around Sydney Prescott.
She explained: “We’re going to follow Sidney. They pitched me the concept, which is why I jumped on board.”
Prescott goes on to say that he has not yet received the final script for the film, but hopes to receive it soon.
The actress added: “I love these movies, it’s so much fun to be a part of them, I’m so grateful for them, I never could have imagined being a part of a movie that would last so many decades.”
The film will be directed by the creator of the franchise Kevin Williamsonand the story is said to involve Sid’s two sons. Apparently, Sid and Gale will be facing off against some sort of Ghostface cult.
There were also rumors that the story would involve a “big time jump” following the events of the last film. The reason being that Sidney’s children have grown to an age suitable for slasher films.
The film will also star My life is nice like Gale Weathers and Patrick Dempsey as Detective Mark Kincaid, who is also Sid’s husband.
