Peacock has released a trailer for Bel Air Season 3 and a sneak peek at the continuation of the dramatic story set during the summer.
It also features the return of Joseph Marcelluswho played Geoffrey in the original The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air series. Marcell has been added to the cast of the new episode.
He obviously won’t be reprising his role as Geoffrey, but there are no details about the mysterious character he’ll be playing. All we know is that he’s a “mysterious member of the Banks family’s past.”
Set in modern day Los Angeles, “Bel Air imagine the beloved sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air through a dramatic new take on Will’s complicated journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air.
“As these two worlds collide, Will grapples with the power of second chances as he navigates the conflicts, emotions and prejudices of a world far different from the only one he’s ever known.”
In season three, “School’s out for the summer and Will is doing Bel-Air his way. Being part of the Banks family has given him a new perspective: it’s not just about the wealth, it means Will now has options to pursue other things that excite him and he’s privileged to dream big.
“As Will makes a thrilling change of direction, he finds a partner in Carlton, who is desperate to leave behind his life of addiction and rebuild his damaged reputation. And while the dynamic duo has plenty of exciting victories, working together also reveals fundamental differences in their backgrounds and worldviews. Can a partnership of such extremes work?
“Pressures at work and at home will also present challenges for Viv and Phil. How can a couple survive when their lives are at sea? Bel Air returns to Peacock for season three on August 15. Three episodes of the new season will launch that day.
