Here’s a weird collaboration I didn’t see coming! Universal Pictures’ iconic Universal Monsters will be teaming up with the Care Bears in a crazy mash-up that includes toys, apparel, accessories, stationery, home decor, collectibles, plush, and health and beauty products.
The Care Bears and Universal Monsters deal is the brainchild of Cloudco Entertainment and Universal Products & Experiences and features “terrifyingly cute pairings Grumpy Bear as Frankenstein’s Monster and Cheer Bear as Frankenstein’s Bride, combining the warmth of Care Bears with the mystery of Universal Monsters.”
The huge range will also include “cute yet spooky items ranging from stylish clothing and plush, spooky health and beauty products to fun Loungefly bags and accessories including a Bedtime Bear Mummy Mini backpack and card holder, and adorable Funko Pop figures!”
In addition to this lineup, “Universal UNIVRS stores at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood will offer a variety of fun and spooky fashion apparel inspired by these mashups this fall.
Additionally, an expanded range of apparel, accessories and collectibles will also be available at various retailers this fall.
Roberto PrinzoHead of Licensing at Cloudco Entertainment said in a statement: “Partnering with Universal Products & Experiences to merge the lovable world of Care Bears with the legendary Universal Monsters is a delightful treat for our fans. We are thrilled to unveil a distinctive collection that unites two worlds our fans never imagined they would meet.”
These products will begin rolling out on Hot Topic soon, with some items available now and more planned throughout the summer and fall.
