Dave Bautista He got his big break playing Drax in the MCU Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, which ended last year.
He developed a close bond with the director of the films, James Gunnwho has moved on to lead the charge at DC, and as we all know, Gunn enjoys working with actors from his previous projects, so fans have been wondering where we will see some of the Guardians again in the future.
As for Bautista’s preferences, he opened up about his favorite DC characters in a recent interview with ScreenRant, where he explained:
“When I was younger, I wanted to play Bane; it was like a dream role for me. And I got to a point in my career where I just felt like I was too old to play Bane.
I think the physicality of that, at this point in my career and my life, I wouldn’t be able to do the character justice. And then I saw somewhere online that someone posted something of me playing Lex Luthor; an older Lex Luthor.
I became a little obsessed with that idea. Obviously, they changed their minds, so at this point, I’m struggling to find my place in the DC Universe. But I would really do anything.”
