We know it Deadpool and Wolverine will feature a lot of cameos. There have been many rumors about these cameos and some of them have already been revealed in footage that has been released.
However, it appears that many of the reports posted online contained false leaks planted by Marvel to create confusion on the Internet.
During an interview with GamesRadar+, executive producer My life is nice shared: “There may or may not have been some subterfuge and misdirection on the Internet or in person to protect secrecy.”
Jacobson added: “I can neither confirm nor deny any cameos in this film, but I will say that, as far as characters who may or may not appear, it was always important to us that nothing in this film felt like a gimmick.”
He continued: “Everyone who shows up has a crucial purpose in the story or a beginning, middle and end as a character arc. It was definitely a collaborative process to see who fit and who didn’t.”
Director by Shawn Levi He previously spoke about his cameo strategy in the film, saying, “We didn’t want any of the cameos or characters to be the story of the film. But they’re sprinkled in.”
He added: “There are a lot of characters. The Internet is a delight of rumors about the multitude of character cameos that are in this film. Some of the rumors are true, some are completely off the mark.”
Levy continued: “Wade himself is a fan. Without giving anything away about the different universes that the different characters live in. Because he’s kind of a sycophantic, chatty little fanboy himself, it allows the movie to call back and reference a lot of deep Marvel references.”
It will be a fun experience to watch this movie and find out which characters and actors will actually appear.
The confirmed cast for the film includes My name is Ryan Reynolds. like Deadpool, Hugh Jackman like Wolverine, Emma Corrin like Cassandra Nova, Morena Baccarin AND Stefan Kapicic like Vanessa and Colossus, Matthew MacfadyenAND Leslie Uggams like Blind Al.
They join them Brianna Hildebrand AND Shioli Kutsunawho will return to the franchise as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s girlfriend, Yukio. There is also Daphne Acute like X-23, and it has been previously reported that Jennifer Garner will return to the role of Electra in the film.
Some of the other rumored characters include Halle Berry like Storm, Famke Jensen like Jean Grey, Ben Affleck like Daredevil, Patrick Stewart like Professor X, Ian McKellen like Magneto, James Marsden like Cyclops, Peter Pascal like Mister Fantastic, Henry Cavill like Wolverine, Chris Evans like Captain America, and Robert Downey Jr. like Iron Man.
Other rumored actors include: Brian Cox like William Striker, Owen Wilson like Mobius, Lewis Tan like Shatterstar, My First Encounter with Channing Tatum like Gambit, Taron Edgerton like a different Wolverine, Elizabeth Olsen like Wanda Maximoff, Strong Tara like Miss Minutes, Tom Hiddleston like Loki, Rebecca Romijn like Raven, Julian McMahon like Doctor Doom, Lieutenant Schreiber like Sabertooth, Daniel Radcliffe like Wolverine, and My First Encounter with Channing Tatum like Gambit.
Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld previously commented on the cameos, saying, “I’ve been very fortunate that people have put things in front of me. And trust me, all I’m saying is I’ve seen that cast list. I think people are just going to be blown away, and I’m not going to say anything more than that.”
