Marvel has announced a new Star Wars comic book series titled Star Wars: Ewoks and will tell the story of what happened on Endor after the epic battle in Return of the Jedi. It sounds like it should be a fun and interesting story.
The comic will take place after Return of the Jedi “as the Ewoks must once again stand against a caravan of carnage to save their home! Fans can expect new insights into Ewok culture, the return of friendly faces like Wicket, and the introduction of new Ewok heroes!
“A team of bounty hunters and scavengers led by the Empire arrive on the forest moon of Endor in search of a secret cache of Imperial weapons!
“Are they ready to face the battle-ready Ewoks who have wiped out so many of their ranks? Who is the mysterious new Ewok warrior returning to Bright Tree Village, and what is his connection to Wicket W. Warrick?”
The series comes from the writer Steve Orlandowho shared in a statement: “Forty years of EWOKS! Sometimes, a lot of times, this job is just a dream — and for someone who grew up watching Return of the Jedi After every single Sunday ski trip, having the chance to celebrate them and explore their world after the fall of the second Death Star is truly incredible.
“When I was little, the Ewoks let me in: Wicket was my hero, a young hero like me (as I was then) who went on adventures with Princess Leia herself! Now, as an adult, it’s an honor to challenge Wicket and bring new Ewoks to Bright Tree Village, and more!
“There’s a lot more to Endor that we’ll see for the first time since Ewoks animated series: This is a mighty world, a mighty ecosystem, and we’re exploring it like never before! Join us for a heist like no other as Wicket races against time to outwit a dangerous crew of Imperial Thieves and save the Forest Moon!

The Ewok AdventureAlso known as Caravan of Couragefollowed the popularity of the adorable — yet formidable — creatures that secured the Rebellion’s victory during the Battle of Endor in Return of the JediTo celebrate the anniversary and the powerful legacy of the Ewoks, they will star in a new 4-issue limited comic series this October — Star Wars: Ewoks!”
The comic art will be created by acclaimed artists Alvaro Lopez (Venomverse Extreme) AND Laura Braga (Star Wars: The High Republic).
Star Wars: Ewoks will arrive in comic book stores on October 9th.
