First Look at DEXTER: ORIGINAL SIN Starring Christian Slater and Patrick Gibson

Our first look at the upcoming series Dexter: Original Sin It came with four photos introducing the audience to the new cast playing the members of the Morgan family.

Christian Slater takes on the role of Harry Morgan, Patrick Gibson will play Dexter Morgan and Molly Brown plays the role of Debra Morgan.

One of the most interesting photos portrays Dexter, played by Gibson, in the midst of one of his ritual murders.

The series is set in Miami in 1991 and follows Dexter, “a student who is honing his skills as a killer with the help and support of his adoptive father Harry (Christian Slater).

“In his father he finds comfort and understanding, especially when his bloodthirsty impulses grow and can no longer be ignored.

“As his only confidant, Harry teaches Dexter a code designed to help him find and kill the people who deserve to die, while avoiding capture by law enforcement.

“This is a particular challenge for young Dexter, who is starting a forensic internship with the Miami Metropolitan Police Department.”

DiazPresident of Content and Chief Creative Officer, Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios and Paramount Media Networks, said of the casting: “Sarah Michelle Gellar is a pop culture icon who perfectly complements our world-class cast, which includes Christian Slater and Patrick Dempsey, among others.

“We are thrilled to have her back in the Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios family and join the origin story of Right franchising.”

The cast also includes Sarah Michelle Gellar, Joe Pantoliano, James Martinez, Cristina Milian, Reno Wilson, Alex Shimizu AND Patrick Dempsey.

The series is currently filming in Miami with Clyde Phillips at the helm.
