The terror The supernatural anthology series returns to AMC with The Terror: The Devil in Silverand Dan Stevens (Abigail, Downton Abbey) will star in the series and serve as executive producer.
The Terror: The Devil in Silver tells the story of Pepper (Stevens), “a working-class mover who, through a combination of bad luck and bad temper, finds himself unjustly committed to New Hyde Psychiatric Hospital, an institution full of people society would rather forget.
“There he will have to deal with patients who turn against him, doctors who hide sinister secrets and maybe even the devil himself.
“As Pepper navigates a hell where nothing is as it seems, he discovers that the only path to freedom is to confront the entity that thrives on suffering within the walls of New Hyde—but doing so may prove that the worst demons of all live within him.”
It looks like it’s going to be a good story! But I like stories set in mental institutions. This series is written by Chris Cantwell (Stop and catch fire) and author Victor LaValleauthor of the novel on which the season is based.
Stevens said in a statement: “I am thrilled to be a part of The Terror: Devil in Silver. This series is a dark symphony of psychological horror and gripping drama, destined to leave audiences reeling.
“Victor LaValle, Christopher Cantwell and this incredible team have created a unique and twisted dance of devils and shadows. I can’t wait to create something epic that will ring out through the halls like an iron bell.”
The Terror: The Devil in Silver will consist of six episodes with Ridley Scott AND David Zucker also producing for Scott Free Productions.
The new episode will debut on AMC and AMC+ in 2025.
