The great Weird Al Yankovic announced that he will be releasing a new song and music video this Friday! This comes ten years after his last studio album and two years after the release of his fun and silly semi-autobiography, which included many of his classics, as well as Yankovic’s latest new song, “Now You Know,” which played over the end credits.
Yankovic teased the future of his music career last year, telling ComicBook, “I don’t think I’m going to do another conventional album. The soundtrack came out last year, but it’s a multi-artist album.
“I’m not giving up on music, I’ll probably put out at least one new track next year. But I don’t really like the business model of waiting until I have twelve songs and then putting them all out at once.
“I like to have an idea and, if it’s good enough, I want to do it right away. Now I can do that, because I’m not tied to any contract or business model.”
This is so good. I love Weird Al, and always have. I grew up singing his songs, and looking forward to his albums, and I can’t wait to get new songs and videos to enjoy whenever he releases them.
Follow Weird Al on social media or wherever you listen to music and enjoy his new song this Friday.
