Fans are eagerly awaiting the new version of the MCU The fantastic Fourwhich is set to be the star Peter Pascal (The Last of Us) like Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible – Discovery of Death) as Sue Storm, known as the Invisible Woman; Joseph Quinn (Stranger things) like Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch; and Ebony moss – Bachrach (The Punisher, The Bear) as Ben Grimm, aka the Thing.
Paul Walter Houser, Natasha LyonAND John Malkovic they were chosen for the project in unknown roles, Ralph Ineson will play the evil Galactus, and Julia Garner (Ozark, Inventing Anna) will play Shalla-Bal, who is an incarnation of the Silver Surfer. But a recent rumor claims that this may be the only time we’ll see Garner’s character on screen.
Second The Cosmic Circus’ Alex Perez (via CBM), Garner will most likely be a “one-off” and will not reprise her role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after-Fantastic Four.
Given that Kevin Feige recently confirmed that the film will be set in an alternate universe, this isn’t too surprising, as it indicates that Marvel’s First Family will be made up of Variants from elsewhere in the Multiverse who will eventually find their way into the main MCU timeline.
This leaves the door open for the idea that Silver Surfer protagonist Norrin Radd could be introduced as the MCU’s main protagonist in the future.
Filming is expected to begin toward the end of the month (the day after SDCC, according to Feige) and cast members have already begun arriving in London ahead of rehearsals, which are expected to begin this week.
The fantastic Four will hit theaters on July 25, 2025.
