INSIDIOUS: THE FURTHER is a new haunted house experience coming to Halloween Horror Nights

Universal has announced a new Insidious-inspired haunted house for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights called Insidious: The Further.

In this experience, “guests will journey deeper into the paranormal realm of tortured souls and demonic entities when they enter ‘Insidious: The Further,’ an all-new haunted house inspired by the hit Insidious film franchise.

“The terrifying journey through darkness begins Friday, August 30 at Universal Orlando Resort and Thursday, September 5 at Universal Studios Hollywood.”

Insidious tells the disturbing story of the Lamberts, a family haunted by evil supernatural forces after their son falls into an inexplicable comatose state after being possessed by a demonic entity.

In the all-new Halloween Horror Nights haunted house, “guests will follow in the Lamberts’ footsteps, encountering familiar settings and scares as they are transported directly to ‘The Further,’ the ethereal place where ghosts and ghouls lurk. And just like in the movies, guests will quickly learn that paranormal creatures are here to stay…”

Guests’ journey in Insidious: The Further begins “when they step through the iconic red door, where many of the series’ tormented spirits and demons await, hell-bent on trapping humans and stealing their souls.

“Fans will come face to face with the Red-Faced Demon, who attempts to lure them into his lair; the sinister KeyFace, who hopes to lock his victims away in this dark dimension; the fearsome and dangerous Bride in Black; and the vengeful spirit of the Man Who Can’t Breathe.

“As guests make their way through the haunted house, they will go from one red door to the next, traveling deeper into a dark, timeless astral world, where they must escape this collection of sinister creatures at every chilling turn, or their souls will remain trapped here… forever.”
