Shudder recently revealed the next episode of the V/C/S horror anthology franchise, V/H/S/Beyondis in development and the list of writers and directors for the film’s six segments has been announced.
Even though I’ve already talked about it, I wanted to write another article to highlight the fact that the director behind The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight snackAND Doctor Sleep, Mike Flanaganhe wrote one of the segments of the film.
The segment he wrote is titled “Stowaway” and his wife, Kate Siegelis set to direct it. I’m a huge fan of Flanagan’s work, and while we don’t know the plot of the segment he wrote in V/H/S/BeyondI can’t wait to see how this ends.
There will be six new “chilling tapes, putting horror at the forefront of a hellish science fiction-inspired landscape.”
The film follows in the wake of the sixth installment of the saga, which broke all records. V/A/S/85which debuted on Friday, October 6, 2023 and became the most-watched exclusive theatrical premiere of the year for Shudder and AMC+.
Flanagan’s next film is a Stephen King adaptation titled Chuck’s Lifeand is also preparing to write and direct a new exorcist film. He is also developing an epic adaptation of King’s novel The Dark Tower novels.
The Shudder Original Film, in partnership with Studio71, will release the film on October 4, 2024.
