The last episode of Stranger Things will be shown in cinemas

According to Puck’s news, the two-hour finale of the cult series Stranger Things will be broadcast not only on Netflix but also in US cinemas.

As it is known, the premiere will be on the big screen on December 31, that is, the day the series will go on air. Just a few days ago, Netflix’s chief content officer, Bela Bajaria, insisted that there were no plans to release the finale in theaters, despite the long run. Bajaria said the platform’s release was exactly what viewers had been waiting for.

However, the series’ creators, the Duffer brothers, hinted in the same interview that they wanted to see the finale on the big screen. They are upset that viewers often do not notice the cinematic quality of the image and sound when watching the movie in compressed quality. They also emphasized the importance of watching the band with other fans.

According to the publishing giant’s overall strategy, such a step seems quite logical. Netflix has already released its biggest projects this year, including K-Pop Demon Hunter and Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein. The schedule for the final season is the same: The first episode will air on November 26, the second episode will air on December 25, and the finale will air on December 31. Is everyone ready to watch the holidays?

Meanwhile, the creators of Stranger Things have previously talked about a spin-off that will feature new characters.
