INSIDE OUT 2 Becomes Pixar’s Highest-Grossing Film Ever Worldwide, Grossing Over .251 Billion

Pixar’s hit sequel Inside Out 2 It became the studio’s highest-grossing film of all time, grossing over $1.251 billion worldwide so far since its June 14 release.

It passed Pixar’s test on Tuesday Incredibles 2 ($1.243 billion) to reach this latest milestone. This result makes the actress-directed by a giant, the #4 animated film of all time worldwide. And that was even before its release in Japan on August 1st.

Riley, Joy, Anxiety, Fear, Boredom and the rest have Frozen in its sights, aiming to surpass its $1.285 billion mark in the next few days (probably over the weekend) and become the third-biggest animated film of all time worldwide.

Inside Out 2 remains the industry’s #17 film of all time domestically, as well as the #3 animated film of all time domestically, and we’re only a month away with plenty more summer viewing to go. It’ll be interesting to see where the film ends up in the record books.

The film was directed by actress and the stars Amy Poehler like Joy, Phyllis Smith like Sadness, Lewis Black like anger, Tony Hale like Fear, and Liza Lapira like Disgust, as well as Maya Hawke like anxiety, Paul Walter Hauser as embarrassment, Ayo Edebiri like Envy, and Adele Exarchopoulos like boredom.
