Apple TV+ has released a teaser trailer for the workplace thriller Separation Season 2 and as you will see, it gives off some creepy and disturbing vibes.
It’s been over two years since season one ended with that cliffhanger, but the series is finally returning and this is our first look.
At the end of the first season, employees Mark, Helly, Dylan, and Irving manage to escape their consciousness and leave the confines of their office, beginning to rebuild who they are in the real world.
Adam Scott stars in the series as Mark Scout, who works a desk job at a mysterious biotech company known as Lumon. The controversial company performs procedures in which employees’ psyches are bifurcated to separate work memories from personal ones, creating Innies (employee personas at work) and Outties (their selves outside the office).
Patricia Arquette plays the manager of the laid-off employees, as well as Mark’s neighbor. As the show progresses, Mark makes curious discoveries that call into question the company’s intentions.
The synopsis for season two reads: “Mark (Scott) and his friends learn the dire consequences of failing to respect the barrier of separation, leading them further down a path of doom.”
The rest of the cast includes Zach Cherry, Lower Britt, Tramell Tillman, by Jen Tullock, Says Lachman, Michael Chernus, John Turturro AND Christopher Walken.
New cast members include Alia Shawkat, Gwendoline Christie, Merritt Wever, Bob Balaban, Robby Benson, Stefano Carannate, John Noble AND Ólafur Darri Ólafsson.
The second season will consist of 10 episodes and will premiere on Apple TV+ on Friday, January 17.
