La Gran Sangre movie trailer released with original cast

Producers released the official trailer for La Gran Sangre, la película on August 26, 2026, bringing lead actors Carlos Alcántara, Aldo Miyashiro, and Pietro Sibille back to the screen. The new feature film reunites the core cast of the iconic Peruvian television franchise for a new theatrical story set in Lima, Peru.

The production team announced that the film will open in cinemas nationwide on November 12, 2026. The storyline follows the main characters as they regain their freedom after spending several years in prison and return to a capital city hit by crime, extortion, and violence.

In the new trailer, Carlos Alcántara returns as El Dragón alongside Aldo Miyashiro as Tony Blades and Pietro Sibille as Mandril. The preview also confirms the return of Joel Ezeta as Johan and Lucho Cáceres as El Cobra, reuniting key figures who defined the original television run.

The upcoming feature introduces prominent new cast members to the franchise, including special participation by actor and former Peruvian Prime Minister Salvador del Solar and actress Milett Figueroa. Their characters will play major roles as the vigilante team comes face to face with a powerful female enemy in modern Lima.

Original TV Cast and Martial Arts Action

The official preview demonstrates that the film retains signature elements that established the series' popularity in the mid-2000s, incorporating martial arts, heavy action scenes, and humor into an updated production style. Producers stated that the project aims to appeal to nostalgia while bringing a modernized proposal to the big screen nearly two decades after the original show debuted.

Director Jorge Carmona, who helmed both the original television series and its first film adaptation, returns to direct the new feature. Production is handled jointly by Peruvian media companies Tondero and Capitán Pérez.

Legacy of the Peruvian Television Franchise

The original television franchise aired between 2006 and 2008, becoming one of the most recognized action series in Peruvian broadcast history. The show recently returned to Peruvian television after 17 years off the air, reintroducing the vigilantes to audiences ahead of their cinematic return.

The franchise's revival follows past disclosures from cast members regarding personal struggles during the original run, including a lead actor who secretly battled testicular cancer during filming and underwent 25 chemotherapy treatments while working on the show.

Fans of the action franchise will wait until November 12, 2026, when La Gran Sangre, la película officially premieres in theaters across Peru.
