DreamWorks has announced that Chapter 5 It’s officially in the works and the movie will be released on July 1, 2026!
The announcement also confirms the return of the franchise’s voice actors, including Mike Myers like Shrek, Cameron Diaz like Fiona, and Eddie Murphy like Donkey. Murphy recently hinted that work on Chapter 5as well as an untitled Donkey spin-off films, were both in the works.
Chapter 5 is in development, progressing slowly for about a decade, with the writer Michael McCullers hinting that it would bring “a major reinvention” to the franchise as a whole.
This will definitely be another fun movie for Little Shrek fans, new and old. Check out the announcement below and let us know if you’re excited for Chapter 5.
