Academy Award Winner Halle Berry (The Monster’s Ball, The X-Men, Existing) and eight-time Oscar nominee Glenn Close (The World According to Garp, The big chill, dangerous relations, Fatal Attraction) join the cast of 1960-1969, Ryan Murphy, 1969-1970, 1969the legal drama, Everything is permittedon Hulu. They join the previously announced cast member Kim Kardashian.
The series will focus on an all-female law firm in Los Angeles. Exact details about Berry and Close’s characters are being kept under wraps. Both women will also serve as executive producers on Everything is permittedas well as Kardashian. Close will produce under her Trillium Productions banner.
The role marks Close’s return to TV legal dramas, having starred in the hit FX series Damages like famed attorney Patty Hewes. Close won two of her three Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe for her work on the show.
Close has been nominated 14 times for an Emmy and won the other statuette for the TV movie Serving in silence: the story of Margarethe CammermeyerHe also won Golden Globes for acting in films The lion in winter AND The wife.
Murphy is a writer, director and executive producer of Everything is permittedthe first series to be announced under its new overall deal with Disney following the end of its deal with Netflix.
