Clint Eastwood and Sergio Leone, the classic western A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS will be remade

Sergio Leone AND Clint Eastwood’s 1964 classic western a fistful of dollars will be remade thanks to Euro Gang Entertainment, founded by Hollywood veteran Gianni Nunnari (300) AND Simone Horsman (Dreams Magazine), alongside the Italian production of Enzo Sisti (Ripley) of FPC and Jolly Film of Rome, which produced the original film.

A Fistful of Dollars is one of my favorite westerns and there is no need to remake a film that is as perfect as the original film. Sometimes Hollywood remakes hurt my heart.

A A Fistful of Dollars tells the story of a nameless wandering gunslinger who pits two rival families against each other in a town torn apart by greed, pride, and revenge. The original film was heavily inspired by the Japanese classic Yojimbo .

The film practically launched the “spaghetti western” genre and Eastwood’s career. The film was a success and was followed by two sequels which include For a few dollars more AND The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

Sisti said in a statement: “I am delighted to collaborate again with Gianni, having just worked with him on Those who are about to dieand with Simon in the remake of this classic film, which created a whole new cinematic subgenre, spawning over 500 European westerns.”

Nunnari and Horsman added: “Enzo is one of the most experienced producers in the film business and we are fortunate to have him as our partner on this incredible project. We are determined to produce a remake that does justice to Sergio Leone’s great classic.”

Good luck, but I’d much rather see them use their resources to make an original western! There’s no reason to remake this classic. It will be 100% inferior to the original.
