Director Actor he is really impressed by what Taylor Swift has accomplished and is fascinated by her Eras Tour, which has taken the world by storm. In fact, what Swift has accomplished is inspiring her next film project.
The director recently told Variety: “People laugh when there’s a college course about her and I say, ‘She should be in it. What she’s doing, the way she’s doing it… No one’s ever done it before. The amount of control she’s taken. It’s relentless.'”
He continued: “These stories about doing the whole show on a treadmill, just to make sure she can do it?! It’s a success story and I’m fascinated by it.
“[Screenwriter] David Koepp took his daughter to see the show and said, “You can’t believe what it’s like to be there.” I would go if I could. There are no tickets! But I watched the movie.
Speaking about how Swift is inspiring her upcoming film, she explained, “I was thinking about a project where I look at large-scale cooperative initiatives that work. Airports. Why do airports work? Or AA? You look at Taylor Swift’s concert, this whole tour, and it works. So why can’t we understand Syria or any other conflict?”
He continued, “Humor is a great way to convey an idea and nothing lights up the brain like music, so this project has to be funny and there should be a musical component as a way to open people up. I want you to come out the other side after watching it and feel different.”
Love her or hate her, there’s no denying that Swift is one of the hardest working artists in the entertainment industry and has accomplished something epic and incredible.
It will be interesting to see what Soderbergh can do with his next film project.
