The first trailer for has been released Star Trek: Prodigy Season 2, which previews the upcoming adventures of the USS Protostar crew.
This is the first Star Trek franchise project aimed at younger viewers and the next season will arrive on Netflix with 20 episodes.
The series follows “a diverse group of young aliens who must figure out how to work together as they navigate a larger galaxy, searching for a better future.
These six young outcasts know nothing of the ship they have commandeered – a first in the history of the Star Trek franchise – but over the course of their adventures together, they will be introduced to Starfleet and the ideals it represents.
In Star Trek: Prodigy Season 2: “These six young outcasts who make up the Prodigy crew are assigned a new mission aboard the USS Voyager-A to rescue Captain Chakotay (voiced by Roberto Beltran) and bring peace to Gwyn (voiced by Ella Purnell) domestic world. However, when their plan goes astray, a time paradox is created that jeopardizes both their future and their past.”
Star Trek: Prodigy co-showrunners Kevin and Dan Hageman address the debut of Star Trek: Prodigy’s second season in a statement, saying, “We deeply appreciate our fans who have stood by us and our passionate team. who made all this possible. The work speaks for itself.” , but it is the heart that will resist.”
Voice cast members include Kate Mulgrew as Hologram Janeway, Brett Gray in the role of Dal, Ella Purnell as Gwyn, Angus Imrie like Zero, Rylee Alazraqui like Rok-Tahk, Dee Bradley Baker like Murf, and Jason Mantzoukas as Jankom Pog.
The series was developed by Kevin AND Dan Hagemann (Troll Hunters AND Ninjago), with Alex Kurtzman, Heather Kadin, Katie Krentz, Rod RoddenberryAND Trevor Roth on board as executive producers.
The series will debut Monday 1 July on Netflix.
