A new trailer has been published for the reinventing of the 1986 cult horror film Witchfrom which Cameri Chuck RussellThe director behind The Blob AND A nightmare on Elm Street: Dream Warriors. It looks like a nodous horror film that will be full of wild and bloody visual elements.
Set in New Orleans, “Emily and her Chiancé Christian are opening their new Dream Café. But their dreams are broken when Emily finds an antique and cursed sorcerer, an ancient artifact that once served as a door for the world of spirits.
“As Emily is increasingly fascinated by the advice of the advice to evoke the spirits, Christian seeks the experience of Alexander Babtisti, an enigmatic occult scholar. While Emily’s grip on reality weakens, the real intentions of Babtisti is to light – to use the power of the dark spirit of the witch for his distorted purposes.
“Culminating in a masked ball decadent to the home of Babtisti, the border between temptation and terror is blurred while Emily and Christian find themselves trapped in a deadly witchcraft network and dark desires. Emily and Christian must run against time to break the curse of the table before arising his fatal power!”
Madison Iseman (I know what you did last summer) leads the cast like Emily, together with Aaron Dominguez (Only murders in the building) ,, Antonia Desplat (Shantaram), AND Charlie Tahan (Ozark). Even together for the lap it is Stranger things star Jamie Campbell Bower.
Speaking with bloody disgusting, Russell said: “I wanted to go back to the horror genre. I kept an eye on this during my career, and I wanted to do something even more frightening and more imaginative. I wanted to overcome my other two horror films,” he said.
He added: “I put everything I had not tried in this film. I hope the fans of my work will recognize my touch. But we have dreams; we have fatal hallucinations. We have swaps on the body; we have travel in the literal time. It is fun in this sense, but the number one is frightening hell from people and I think we did that too.”
The film will arrive in cinemas on August 15, 2025.
