Kevin Costner confirms he will not return for the final episodes of YELLOWSTONE

While many fans were hoping for us to see it Kevin Costner return for the final episodes of Yellowstoneafter everything that happened, we knew this was unlikely to happen.

Costner kept saying he would love to return to the series, but today he confirmed in a social media video that he won’t be returning to close out the neo-Western series.

The actor and director shared in the video: “Hi everyone. I just want to reach out and let you know that after this long year and a half of working on Horizon, and doing all the necessary things, and thinking about Yellowstone, that beloved series that I love and I know you love.

“I just realized that I won’t be able to continue season five, or in the future. It was something that really changed me. I loved it and I know you loved it too.

“And I just wanted to let you know that I’m not coming back. I love the relationship we’ve been able to develop and I’ll see you at the movies.”

It’s a shame that Costner, Taylor Sheridan, and the rest of the Yellowstone producers couldn’t figure this out. Yellowstone won’t be the same without Costner’s involvement and I don’t see how they can properly close out the series without the actor who tied the entire show together.

Serial actor Ian Bohen he previously said that the end of the show will offer the “best ending ever.”

Bohen also said, “Fans will get the [best] conclusion that perhaps could be written. Everything will land in a perfectly set way. A lot of shows just end… and they don’t satisfy you.”

“This will be completed in a way that makes sense.” She added: “I don’t know if any show has ever ended so well. We expect to have the best series finale in history. Too safe maybe, but I think it will be what it will be. Thank you all for your patience… It will be worth it, I promise.”

I’m not sure how this would be possible without Costner, but maybe the show will surprise me! They will dive into John Dutton’s story, though Josh Lucas he will return to play the younger version of the character.
