It is reported that the first trailer for Roberto Eggers’ next remake of Nosferatu comes out this weekend, but you can only see it in theaters.
The trailer will screen before Focus Features The motorcyclists when it hits theaters this Friday. I imagine the trailer will be released online shortly after.
I’m curious to see what audiences will think of the trailer after seeing it. I’ve already had the opportunity to watch it at CinemaCon and it looks like it’s going to be a wonderful and terrifying film.
In this new revisitation, Nosferatu tells the disturbing gothic story of a tormented young woman’s obsession (Lily Rose Depp) in 19th-century Germany and the ancient vampire of Transylvania (Bill Skarsgard) who haunts her, bringing with him unspeakable horrors.
This is a film we’ve been very excited and curious about, and it looks like Eggers has made an incredible film! I love the creepy vibe he brought to this movie! The footage was amazing and you can watch us talk about it in the video below!
Speaking about the film, Eggers said: “It’s a scary movie. It’s a horror movie. It’s a gothic horror film. And I think there hasn’t been an old school gothic movie that’s actually scary in a while. And I think most audiences will find that to be the case.
Focus Features president Peter Kujawski said in a statement: “Robert Eggers’ bold direction is always a treat for fans, and we can promise that his Nosferatu is throwing a real Christmas party.”
Nicholas Hoult he also stars in the film alongside Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man: No Way Home), Emma Corrin (Deadpool 3), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kraven the Hunter), Simon McBurney (The evocation 2) AND Ralph Ineson (The Witch).
The film will be released in theaters on December 25, 2024.
