AS Deadpool and Wolverine gets closer to release, interviews with the cast and crew are starting to make the rounds as they are promoting the film.
Ryan Reynolds recently talked about the similarities between the first Deadpool movie and Hugh Jackman’S Logan. He explained how both films offered something different and unique than all the other comic book films made at the time.
While sharing his thoughts, he gave the director James Mangold’S Logan the highest praise a film can receive. Speaking to Total Film, he said:
“The films were pretty consistent with each other at that point. Deadpool was different, and right after that Logan was potentially the greatest comic book adaptation ever made.”
Many fans will agree with Reynolds on this one Logan. The movie was a masterpiece and I’m pretty sure we’ll never see anything like it again. It’s a unique film that took big risks and told an incredibly strong story.
I just don’t see Marvel Studios capturing it. Hell, it’s hard to think that Marvel will be able to reach the level set with its previous films Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Infinity WarAND Avengers: Endgame.
Logan was such a perfect conclusion to Wolverine’s story that Jackman retired from the role… but he’s returning and fans are thrilled!
Jackman admits he had no idea his time playing the adamantium-clawed mutant would be so long, especially after the early feedback he received. Jackman recalled:
“We were in the low tide of that genre. It had grown up with the Batman movies and faded away. But when the X-Men came along, people felt it was the source material for how to give a voice to the marginalized.” .”
He continued:
“I actually had a couple of industry people with their ear to the ground telling me, ‘Keep auditioning because this thing is dead in the water.’”
Boy, were those people wrong! It’s so funny how these people in Hollywood think. They are still so closed minded.
Shawn Levy he is directing Deadpool and Wolverine and also includes the confirmed cast of the film Emma Corrin in the role of Cassandra Nova, Morena Baccarin AND Stefan Kapicic like Vanessa and Colossus, Matthew Macfadyen as a TVA agent e Leslie Uggam in the role of blind Al.
They are united by Brianna Hildebrand AND Shioli Kutsuna, who will also return to the franchise as Negasonic Warhead and Negasonic Warhead’s girlfriend, Yukio. This had already been confirmed Jennifer Garner she will return as Elektra in the film.
