JACKBOX GAMES FINALLY DID IT!!!! They announced it The Jackbox Megapicker which aims to solve a problem that has long plagued the franchise.
Before the Megapicker, if you wanted to have a game night and play some Jackbox games, you had to figure out which game you wanted to play, figure out which Party Pack it was in (there are currently 10), and then go from there.
If your group decided to play a different game, you would hope that it was in the same Party Pack because if not, you had to close the current Party Pack and find the correct one with the new game you wanted to play. This was a huge annoyance and something I mentioned in some of my reviews.
With Megapicker, all your titles will be available in one place to sort and filter as you wish, making switching games during game night much easier.
This is absolutely amazing, but there is a caveat. THE Megapickers it will only be available via Steam. It will be free, but if you play Jackbox games on any other platform you won’t have access to it. This is a bit of a disappointment, but maybe they’ll be able to expand this to other platforms in the future?
Personally, I’m thrilled to hear the news. The Jackbox Megapicker it doesn’t have a specific release date, but it will be released in July 2024. However, we should know more in the coming weeks.
