President Laura Mile shared in an interview with Variety that EA Games Studio did not plan to publish Sims 5.

A new part of the game, Mile Words’s words can only make fans worse: orum I don’t want to start from all the content you have acquired for the last 10 years and leave everything you have created. We have published more than 85 content packages for Sims 4 and therefore resetting is not suitable for players and is not a good idea for the community.
Sims is one of the biggest opportunities for spin-off spin-off, EA growth. The president added that the team was “carefully working and what this many user platform can be”.
Laura Mile also spoke about other opportunities to expand the Sims game universe: “So you will have a life simulator, you will have the possibilities of a lot of user games, we will create mobile applications. We also create comfortable games. Together with Nintendo, we have published a Cozy Game from Sims In Asia.”
