Peacock has released the teaser trailer for its heist thriller series titled Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist. The show is the protagonist Kevin Hart and tells the true story of an armed robbery that occurred after the historic fight for the return of Muhammad Ali in 1970.
Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist is based on iHeart’s acclaimed true-crime podcast and explores how this robbery “not only changed one man’s life, but ultimately turned Atlanta into the ‘Black Mecca.’
“When a hustler named Chicken Man (Hart) hosts an afterparty to celebrate the fight with a guest list of the country’s wealthiest, the evening ends with the most brazen underworld heist in Atlanta history.
“Suspected as the mastermind of the crime, Chicken Man is determined to clear his name but must convince his old adversary, JD Hudson (Don Cheadle), one of the first black detectives in the city’s desegregated police force, who is tasked with bringing perpetrators to justice.”
Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist is a series created and broadcast by writer Shaye Ogbonna and the cast also includes Samuel L. Jackson, Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Howard, Chloe Bailey, Marsha Stephanie Blake, Dexter Darden, Lori HarveyAND Walls of Sinqua.
The series is directed by Craig Brewer (Black serpent wail, looseness, hustle and flow) and it looks like a great show!
