Prime Video has released the first trailer for its upcoming comedy Space cadet. Emma Roberts stars in the film as Rex, a Florida party girl who wants to become an astronaut. This film hung around for a couple of years, but the studio finally decided to release it.
In the film, Tiffany “Rex” Simpson has always dreamed of going to space, but life isn’t going quite as planned. Determined to change things, she aims high and with the beautifying touch of her best friend Nadine (Poppy Liu), her graduate school application gets her into NASA’s ultra-competitive astronaut training program.
“In short, Rex relies on his wits, his cunning and his determination to get to the top of his class. NASA Program Directors Pam (Gabriele Union) and Logan (Tom Hopper) definitely take note, but can this Florida girl make it through the training and into the cosmos before she blows her cover?”
The film was written and directed by Liz W. Garcia (Purple hearts, The sinner), and this is said to be a comedy “about the power of being yourself, following your dreams, and aiming for the stars.”
The film seems like an overly silly comedy that I’m sure some people will enjoy.
The Colombian pop star is also present in the film Sebastian Yatra, David Foley (The boys in the room), Desi Lydic (Embarrassing), Kuhoo Verma (Plan B), Yasha Jackson (The flight attendant), Troy Iwata (WeCrashed, Dash and Lily), Andrea Call (Z: The beginning of everything), AND Giuseppina Huang.
The measure will be released on July 4th.
