Netflix has released the trailer for the third and final season of the fantastic series Viking Vikings: Valhalla. I enjoyed watching this show and it looks like it will have an epic and intense conclusion.
The series is set in the early 11th century and chronicles the “heroic adventures of some of the most famous Vikings who ever lived, Leif Eriksson, his sister Freydis, and the Norwegian prince Harald Sigurdsson.”
The third season finds our heroes “seven years after the conclusion of the second season. Freydis is now the undisputed leader of pagan Jomsborg, and Leif and Harald have achieved glory in Constantinople. But even greater challenges lie ahead for everyone to reach their ultimate destiny.”
In search of a new Viking home, “our heroes must venture further than they ever have before. From Constantinople to Greenland to the ends of the known world. But before they can set sail for new horizons, they must go back to where it all began for one last battle.”
Executive producer Jeb Stuart spoke about the final series, saying: “I’m so grateful to have had three seasons to tell the stories of Leif, Harald and Freydís.
“I knew from the beginning that I wanted to show the evolution of how three of the most famous Vikings became the icons we know today, and we succeeded.
“I hope that when audiences see the new season, they will be thrilled with all the new heights we have taken these heroes.”
