A new HUNGER GAMES novel is coming in 2025, and Lionsgate announces a movie for 2026

Susanna Collins announced that he is working on a new one Hunger Games novel, entitled Dawn over the harvestand will be released next year in 2025

This is the fifth novel in The Hunger Games series and according to the Associated Press, this is another prequel to the original trilogy, and is set 40 years after the events of the last novel, “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.”

Collins spoke about the new book, saying: “With ‘Sunrise on the Reaping,’ I was inspired by David Hume’s idea of ​​implicit submission and, in his words, ‘the ease with which the many are governed by the few.’

“The story also lent itself to a deeper analysis of the use of propaganda and the power of those who control the narrative. The question ‘Real or not real?’ It seems more urgent to me every day.”

Lionsgate also announced that The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping will receive a film adaptation and release in 2026.

The story will revisit the world of Panem 24 years before the events of The Hunger Games, beginning on the morning of the collection of the fiftieth Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter.
