Sony Pictures chief executive Tom Rothman said the four planned films about The Beatles are only about half filmed so far, according to Chempionat.com. Rothman said reaching that point had been achieved only with great difficulty.
Each of the four films will focus on one member of the British band. All four are set for release in April 2028. Sam Mendes, director of "007: Skyfall" and "American Beauty," is directing the films.

The actresses set to play the wives of the four musicians were announced earlier. They are Saoirse Ronan ("The Grand Budapest Hotel"), Anna Sawai ("Shogun"), Mia McKenna-Bruce ("The Witcher") and Aimee Lou Wood ("The White Lotus").
